IELTS (International English Language Testing System)

The Test is designed to assess the language ability of candidates who need to study or work in a English Speaking country.
IELTS is jointly managed by University Of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, British Council & IDP: IELTS Australia.
The test includes 4 modules. It is recognised by universities & employers in many countries. Test Format
There are four modules in IELTS: Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking.
The test is paper based test and it is conducted by IDP/British Council.
The duration of the test is approximately 2 hours 45 minutes
The test is held at authorized centers which has special permission to conduct it. The test is for 2 days, on the 1st day the test is of 3 modules listening, reading, writing, and speaking is held on 2nd day.
The score or the band is of 1-9, it tests the candidate's ability from non user to expert user.
During the exam Candidate has to carry their original passport and confirmation receipt of examination.
The registration can be done through online just visit the home page of both the websites & click on to register online & fill up the candidate’s details with selecting the available test dates or by visiting the offices of British Council / Idp Australia.
The examination fee is 8200/- which can be paid by credit card, Demand Draft or by cash to ICICI Bank.

TOEFL IBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language)

TOEFL is an internet based test managed by Educational Testing Service (ETS) .The test measures the ability of non-native speakers of English to use & understand English in various categories:

Test Format

TOEFL has four sections: Listening, Reading, Speaking & Writing which takes a total of about 4 ½ hours to complete.

TOEFL iBT Test Sections

Score
The score is measured on the scale of 0-30 in each section & the total of all the sections 0-120.

Registration
A candidate can register online by creating his / her own account

& filling up the details exactly as their valid passport/ID. While registering, the candidate can select 4 universities /institutes of the country where he/she wants to apply and send the score directly to them or else candidate has to pay extra fees if he/she decides to do it afterwards.

A valid ID with the name, signature & photograph has to be there while going to the exam
